Dear Mr. Stiff:
As we discussed last week at the jobsite, the Assistant Building Inspector of
the City of Salem, Mr. Edgar J. Paquin, has advised us that the wall at the
end of the training and archive rooms adjacent to the unfinished space is not
a fire wall . It is made of 1/2" gypsum wall board and has' non-label doors.
Mr. Paquin advised me that this acceptable for the current intended use.
However, the wall will have to be upgraded if the space is ever converted
to office use.

This letter is to supplement our application for the building permit to
renovate certain areas of our facility.
It is our intent to renovate space on the second floor in the existing
"Stanley" Building (Parcel 70-B) for use as offices. When the work is
complete, the building will have substantially the same use as it has
had since the Company has owned it. We intend. to accomodate 29 employees
in this area. We will be installing a second egress (stairs) at the oppo-
site end of the building from the existing agress (stairs) .
Along with this work, we will be doing minor renovation to our offices on
Canat Street (Parcel 70-A) . The use and configuration of this space re-
mains the same. This work will give more room for the employees who will
be remaining there.
