RE: Inspection of Hamilton Hall
Dear Ms. Schott,
It was a pleasure meeting you and touring Hamilton Hall yesterday.
During the inspection conducted with Edgar Paquin from this office we noted some
deficiencies in your building's life safety systems that need to be addressed.
These deficiencies include but are not necessarily limited to the following:
• Insufficient emergency lights
• Insufficient Exit signage
• Inspection and certification of steel fire escapes
In addition the as-built plans we have on record do not conform to the actual conditions at
the building.
I suggest that you retain the services of an architect with experience in historic buildings
to prepare plans and specifications describing the necessary remediation of the above
conditions and other deficiencies that may exist. Having this documentation will help
you in soliciting proposals for and budgeting for the work.
We look forward to working with you in remedying these serious issues and look forward
to hearing your progress within thirty (30) days.
