It is hereby certified that the Salem Historical Commission has determined that the proposed:

as described below does not involve an exterior architectural feature or involves a feature covered by the
exemptions or limitations set forth in the Historic District's Act (M.G.L. Ch. 40C) and the Salem Historic Districts
Ordinance.

Description of Work Proposed:
o Window replacement on one side of house.
▪ The 2 windows to be removed and discarded are on the flat roof kitchen addition behind
the main house.
• One window is on the right side (from the street) is a small newer window.
• The other window to be removed is on the back of the house is a 2/2. It will not be
reused but will be salvaged for future replacement parts.
• Another 2/2 on the driveway side will remain. There will be 3 new 2/2 SDL, wood
windows on the rear elevation.
o No work is visible from the public way
Should any additional work be required as part of this project or if a new paint color is proposed for replacement
pieces, Applicant must submit a new application for review.
Upon completion of above work, please notify Historical Commission staff as final sign-off is required to
document compliance with this Certificate and approved plans.
