The complaint states that you modified the lights to operate on pull chains.
It will be necessary for you to arrange an inspection with us within ten (10) days upon
receipt of this letter.

Dear Mr. St. Pierre,
We are sending this letter to make known to your office our efforts to repair the side common
hall lights. This is also a response to the anonymous tenant's complaint on February 15, 2002
regarding pull-chain fixtures in this area.
We have owned this property for a little over a year. It is our home, and we want it to be a nice
place for all oxupar;s. This is why we have invested a great deal of our time and capital in improving
the property. In the beginning of January 2002, the third-floor tenant approached me and suggested
that it would be a good idea if we installed pull-chain fixtures in the common hall. At the time, we were
unaware that these types of fixtures are illegal in common areas. Unfortunately we discovered this
when we received your letter on February 16. It was not our intention to do anything illegal, but we have
had many problems with the third-floor tenant and did not want to aggravate the situation, so we did as
he suggested.
We would like to thank you for your understanding in this matter, and we assure you that the
lighting fixtures in the side common hallway will be fixed well within the thirty day limit you granted us.
We will contact you as soon as the work is done to arrange an inspection.
