pool not having a permit . After further research we have
located your street card and it clearly indicated a permit

any inconvenience that this may have caused. The only
thing, this office is now concerned with is the maintenance
of the perimeter fencing. Please make necessary repairs
so small children are unable to enter on your property and

i Accessory building and Structures
Accessory buildings and structures, such as garages, and tool shed,
shall be subject to the following regulations:
1 . No accessory building or structure shall be located
within any required front yard or within any side yard
of a corner lot.
2. No accessory building or structure shall be located
nearer than ten feet to the principal building, unless
such accessory building or structure is attached to
the principal building.
3. No unattached accessory building or structure shall be located
nearer than five (5) feet to any side lot line (side lots in this
instance refer to a projected line starting from the front lot
line terminating at the rear lot line parallel five (.5) feet from
the side) , or five (5) feet from rear lot line. The building
area of such building or structure, excluding garages, shall not
exceed 1% of the lot area, or 120 square feet, whichever is greater,

As per your request I have reviewed the plot plan and other submitted
material for information regarding the possibility of installing a twenty
four (24) foot diameter swimming pool to replace the existing twelve (12)
foot pool at your property at 12 Buffum Street.
My review indicates that while the existing pool may remain, any
alteration or enlargement of the pool would be in violation of Section
VIII D of the City Zoning Ordinance and would require a Special Permit
from the Zoning Board of Appeal .
There is presently a former Councillor and two present Councillors
who are considering proposing a change in this Section, however, until
this change is inacted your relief would be through the Board of Appeal .
Application for the Board of Appeal may be obtained at this office
anytime during normal office hours.
