7 Church Street (Jodi Bee Bakes): Discussion and vote on:
1. Proposed installation of signage; and
2. Proposed outdoor seating area
SRA Decision
At its meeting on June 10, 2015, the SRA voted 4-0 to approve the May 27, 2015
DRB recommendation to approve the proposal to erect signage at 7 Church
Street (Jodi Bee Bakes).
The SRA also approved the addition of an outdoor seating area (three 30" round
tables with two seats each) as presented and conditional upon the tables and
chairs not encroaching upon the bricked walkway serving as an entrance to the
Museum Place Mall.
Recommendation
At its meeting on May 27, 2015 the Design Review Board voted unanimously (5-0) in
favor of recommending the applicant's proposal for signage at 7 Church Street (Jodi
Bee Bakes). The applicant may work with Glenn Kennedy to further refine signage
and move to a Gold color for text and logos.
The Board also recommends approval of the applicant's proposed outdoor seating
area contingent upon the table and chairs not being placed upon any portion of the
brick walkway area that leads to the entrance of the Museum Place Mall.
Proposal (signage)
The applicant proposes a series of window decals, as well as two signs affixed to the
building (one bee logo above the entrance door and "Jodie Bee Bakes" along the
face of the existing awning).
The enclosed materials show renderings, designs, dimensions, materials, and other
details relative to the proposed signage.
Proposal (outdoor seating)
The applicant would like to place three 30" bistro tables with two chairs each outside
of her storefront. The tables and chairs would be placed tight to the building's
fagade, allowing for over 9 feet of clearance from the nearest obstruction (a
newspaper box). Photographs, illustrations, and specifications are enclosed.

Project Summary
This project is a new sign for a Salem storefront on Church St.
1.The two ensting windows at the front facade will get several Jodi Bee Bakes
window decals including text and a custom bee logo.
2.The projecting awning will gel 12"formed plastic letters with the
company name and bee.
3.At the entrance door to the side there will also be new window 7 Church St.Salem,MA
decals with a large company bee logo over the window.
