The following were noted: Men's toilet room No paper towels No soap Hole in door Graffiti No container to hold toilet tissue Ladies'toilet room No paper towels Graffiti No locking devices No cover trash receptacle Ceiling tiles not in place. As discussed, these toilet rooms must be available to the public until all of the shops close for the evening, including the bank, which is approximately 10:00 p.m. In the past, we had been advised that the toilet rooms had to remain open 24 hours because of the ATM machine at the bank. Mr. LeClerc explained that was not correct. We were notified that there is no cleaning/maintenance person on site between the hours of 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Mr. Saunders assured us that there is a person on site between 7:00 p.m.to 10:00 P.M. To resolve this long-standing, on-going matter, the recommendation was made that these rooms be monitored during the hours the mall is open. CITY OF SALEM HEALTH DEPARTMENT Nine North Street Salem,Massachusetts 01970 As in the past, will you kindly take immediate corrective action to restore these toilet rooms to their original state.
