The Salem Fire Department has issued a Fire Department Certificate of
Approval for Building Permit for the Boys' Club at #13 Hawthorne Boulevard
based upon the following conditions:
1. The installation of the Hood & Duct system in the kitchen area
shall be in accordance with the provisions of NFiPA 96.
2. The installation of the fixed extinguishing system in the kitchen
area shall be in accordance with the provisions of NFiPA 17.
3. The design of the fire alarm system shall be extended to include
updating of the remainder of the building. Such fire alarm
system shall be zoned in accordance with the requirements of the
Fire Prevention Bureau. Determination of the needs relative to
such updating shall be contingent upon a site visit and
evaluation -of the current system.
The installation of the fire alarm system shall be in accordance
Witt the provisions of 527 CMR 24.
4. The building shall be provided with a Knox Rapid Entry System as
per the requirements of the Fire Prevention Bureau.
5. A permits shall be required to be filed with the Fire Prevention
Bureau prior to installation of the Fire Alarm System. Plans
shall be submitted for approval and permits filed prior to the
installation of both the fixed extinguishing system and the hood
& duct system.
