Dear Mr. Schiller:
On behalf of the City of Salem Department of Planning and Community Development (party conducting
remediation), and pursuant to 310 CMR 40.1403 of the Massachusetts Contingency Plan (MCP), TRC
Environmental Corporation (TRC) has prepared this letter to inform you of the submittal of a Release
Abatement Measure (RAM) Plan for the Furlong Park Parcel A Site in Salem, Massachusetts. The
purpose of the RAM is to provide a regulatory vehicle for the excavation and replacement of metals and
polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon-impacted soil. This submittal will be made to the Massachusetts
Department of Environmental Protection (MassDEP) on or about September 8, 2022.
