Dear Sirs:
This department conducted an inspection at ,•55"Broad St. on Wednesday.
November 5, 1986 at approximately 10:00 A.M.
In your letter to us you indicated that Mr. Kobuszewski is possibly
in violation of Zoning, we observed that in fact he does store
numerous amounts of construction/building materials which he has
accumulated over many years.
While this accumulation is extensive it is not in my opinion of the
nature of supplies used in the performance of a business for hire,
rather bits and pieces of various stock and equipment.
In that, Mr. Kobuszewski is a landlord/self-employed Rehaber, I donot
feel he is conducting a business per say.
'Should you have any other concerns or questions concerning the above
feel free to contact us.
Sincerely,
Edg aqui

Re : Robert Kobuszewski
55 Broad Street , Salem, MA
Dear Mr. Munroe :
Robert Kobuszewski owns and lives on the premises at 55 Broad
Street , Salem, MA. On the premises there are two garages which were built
by Mr . Roderick , a former owner and close relative of the complainants ,
H.B. Parker and R .R. Parker . Mr. Roderick built those structures to house
his taxi cab and moving business and the supplies associated therein .
Successive owners have continued to so use the property. Mr . Kobuszewski
has used the property as the previous owners and original builder of the
structures had used the property. He does not conduct business at the
address , has no signs , telephone listings or advertising of any nature
which identifies that address as being his place of business . He does
keep business supplies on his property wholly under roof and not visible
to any neighbors . There are no inflammable products kept on the property .
Mr. Kobuszewski would welcome your inspection of the premises at
a time convenient for you . As to his own schedule , he would like to make
this sometime during the week of October 20 , 1986 .
I do not believe that Mr . Kobuszewski is in violation of the
zoning laws . Please be assured of his sincere desire to cooperate with
your department .
Very truly yours ,

Dear Mr. Munroe:
We are concerned that the property at 55 Broad Street is a potential fire
hazard. The owner has his business supplies (paint, wood, door frames,
plumbing supplies, etc. ) stored in two garages on the property.
I was advised that Broad Street is zoned residential and therefore storage
of business supplies is against zoning regulations.
Would you please investigate and correct this situation.
Sincerely
- F, PuLL
