I do, however, wish to clarify several points which you brought up in your letter,viz: • The fence along the front of our property, a common picket variety with no historical value or interest,was so rotten it did not stand up by itself. Its removal, against such time as it could be replaced, was a matter of safety as well as defense against personal liability. • The fence at the rear of the house replaced a much higher existing fence, which again, was too rotten to function as a safe and effective barrier to children, of which we are in critical need. You may also recall that it was so overgrown with foliage that it was invisible, and was further obscured by a small copse of ugly and overgrown shrubs which ran down the middle of the driveway. I thank you for your attention, and for your correction of the record, and I look forward to working with the Commission on this matter.
