Description of Work Proposed:
• Rebuild rear Chimney
• Set pipe staging to reach top of chimney; Staging will also be set on roof.
• Remove brick above flashing.
• Use existing brick, if possible, for new build.
o New brick to match existing in terms of color, size, texture, and design.
o Water struck brick will be used if existing cannot.
• Chimney will have same dimension as existing.
• Mortar to be type N mortar: 1/1/6 mix (Portland cement, hydrated lime, and sand). Dark Buff mortar color
will be added for historic purposes
Non-applicable due to being in-kind repair. There will be no changes in color, material, design, location or outward
appearance.
Upon completion of above work, please notify Historical Commission staff as final sign-off is required to
document compliance with this Certificate and approved plans.
