A public hearing on the above Petition was opened on June 21, 2017 pursuant to M.G.L Ch. 40A, 4 11 and continued to August 17, 2017 and dosed on that date with the following Salem Board of Appeals members present Rebecca Curren (Chau),Peter A. Copelas,Mike Duffy,Tom Watkins,Jimmy Tsitsinos. The petitioner is seeking a Special Permit per Sec. 3.3.3 Non-conforming Single and Two-Family Structures, to construct a 5'x 22'single-story addition. Statements of fact. 1. In the petition date-stamped May 15, 2017, the Petitioner requested a Special Permit per Sec. 3.33 Non-conforming Single and Two-Family Structures to construct a 5'x 22'single-story addition. 2. The property is.a single-family home in an R-1 Zoning District. 3. The petitioner proposed to construct a covered front porch at the property line. 4. At the June 21, 2017 meeting, the petitioner presented the petition and plans to construct the single- story front addition. 5. The Board requested additional information including more complete elevation plans to scale and a certified plot plan as the addition on the single family home was within two (2) feet of the property boundary. 6. The requested relief,if granted,would allow the petitioner construct a 5'x 22'single-story addition to expand an existing single family structure. 7. At the August 17, 2017 meeting, the petitioner requested to withdraw the application without Prejudice. 8. At the public hearing no members of the public spoke in favor or in opposition to the petition. On the basis of the above statements of facts and findings, the Salem Board of Appeals voted five (5) (Rebecca Curran (Chair),Peter A.Copelas,Mike Daffy,Tom Watkins,Jimmy Tsitsinos)in favor and none(0) opposed,allow the applicant to withdraw the petition without prejudice.
