We own 17-23 Palmer Street and our neighbor at 40 Salem Street has a major rodent infestation. Rats can be seen during the day entering and exiting the house and retaining wall on the property. We have written multiple letters to the BOH office but I thought it might be best to meet on site to discuss these concerns. We have hired an exterminator to monitor our property however I believe this should not be our responsibility and without action this will be a perpetual problem. Please let me know when we could schedule a meeting. FYI, I have attached a few pictures. Thank you, Steve Gagnon 1 HENRY T. GAGNON REALTY RECEIVED P. O. We have had a continual problem for years with 40 Palmer Street which abuts our property. It has not been maintained in 20 years. We have had and now have a more severe problem with rats. We have placed calls at least 4 or 5 times in the past 6 months to the City of Salem to make the city aware that this issue must be resolved the rats eat through our trash barrels and our foundation. We are doing everything we can to protect our property and our tenants. The exterminator has mentioned something needs to be done with 40 Palmer Street. We can not clear the rats from the whole city block. I have enclosed copies of letters sent previously. I have spoken to Carrie on 3-23-21. Janice and Elizabeth on 4-14-21. Can we please have someone address this health hazard before someone gets bitten or the property is destroyed. I can be reached at 978-887-8856 with an update as to your progress. Please find enclosed copies of previous letters hoping for resolution to this problem. Sincerely, Marie Gagnon Henry T.
