Overview
We want to enhance and repurpose an empty parking lot for the establishment of an area
where food trucks may operate to provide alternative outdoor dining services to the area
around Salem State University and Loring Avenue
Goals
1. Tc def?re the permit, seating, bathroom and other requirements f--r!"e Nrc;cct.
2. To provide answers to questions regarding the operation of the project.
Location Specifications
We want to provide an area to 3-4 food trucks, of varying food offerings on our
private lot at 38 Loring Avenue. The lot sits across from the White Dove
convenience store and adjacent to the Loring Ave Fire Station on Route 1 A.
Site
-Is roughly 1 00' across and 100' deep

-Accommodate 3-4 food trucks with on site parking of up to 12 cars.
-Zoned B ',lwhich allows restaurants and fast food.
-Level and flat with little to no site-work required other than landscaping.
-Is bordered by the Fire Station, Route 1A, commercial space including fast food,
and 3 multi-family apartment buildings.
Operations
I. Permitting
Each food truck would be independently managed and permitted through the City of Salem,
Board of Health.
II. Seaung
We would like to provide outdoor seating,however, with seating,we understand we
would need to provide bathrooms according to Code.We could provide portable toilets
(in a buildinn) nr not provide seating and only standinn tables with no bathrooms except
for employees.
M. Bathrooms
Porta Potties are used in The Salem Food Truck Festival, October and Halloween
festivities,Outdoor Venues and Restaurants,The Salem Willows,etc.
"High-End"Porta Potties in enclosures
Serviced daily.

Final product would be handicap accessible,and fully enclosed blocking bathrooms from view.

Water;Trucks carry own water on board.
