RE: A Request for an Insignificant Change to the Site Plan Review and Planned Unit
Development special permit for the project located at 190 Bridge Street(Map 35,Lot 0027)
The Salem Planning Board met on Thursday, July 8, 2021, to discuss the request of Scott
Rushton with Pacific Urban Residential for the approval of an Insignificant Change to the
previously approved Site Plan Review and Planned Unit Development decision of the Planning
Board dated August 3,2000 and Amended July 16, 2003.
Proposed modifications include relocating the same number of existing public parking spaces
closer to the train tracks abutting the property, the addition of a dog park and resident patio, and
a change of uses in the previously approved retail space. Retail space#1 is proposed to be a pet
wash station and bike storage facility accessible to the public.
On July 8, 2021, the Planning Board voted five (5) in favor (Kirt Rieder, Sarah Tarbet, Todd
Waller, Helen Sides, Tom Furey) and none (0) opposed, to find the proposed changes as an
insignificant change to the overall plans and decision referred to herein, with the below
conditions:
1. The Planning Board accepts the proposed pet wash station and bike storage facility as an
interim use of the retail space. The designated retail spaces shall be maintained in a way
to preserve the possibility of a future retail use.
2. The applicant shall advertise the dog park and dog wash station to members of the public.
