Munroe Building Inspector One Salem Green Salem, Massachusetts 01970 RE: 106 Boston Street, Salem Dear Bill: Dan McHugh is not going to tear any building down. The renovation work will include interior work within the shell of the building, plus clapboarding on the outside. There is a small area, as shown on the plan in yellow, which he would like to roof over. The area totals about 75 square feet. I 've spoken with the Ward Councillor about this. He' s enthused that the building is going to be fixed up. The people at A.O.H. next door are very happy because Dan was able to resolve a problem they had in their building in connection with a line that ran through Dan's building. Could there be an interpretation made so that Dan can do his work without having to go to the Board of Appeals. It would seem that the requested work falls within the interpretative powers of the Building Inspector. Please review this, and I ' ll catch up with you. Thanks. Sincerely, p e, UOHN R. SERAFI I, SR.
