Dear Ms. Cowhig:
As you are the property owner of record at 24 Balcomb Street, I inform you of an incident
that occurred this past Saturday morning, June 7, 1997, at approximately 8:10 a.m. Laborers'
hired by a contractor working for you were on,the peak of the house at 24 Baicomb Street,
Salem, Massachusetts, stripping shingles from he peak of the roof. They tossed the shingles to
the ground without regard to real or personal property surrounding the area. Several shingles hit
my vehicle which was parked in the driveway causing considerable damage to the body and finish.
(See enclosed estimate of damages.)
The contractor, Paul Gonyea, was immediately notified, retrieved the shingles from the
driveway, expressed his regrets and said to me "not to worry he would take care of the damage."
However, I feel strongly that you too should be aware of this matter in the event that Mr. Gonyea
does not have the means or financial ability to satisfy the claim for damages.
I appreciate your immediate attention to this matter.
Sincerely,
Nancy M. Fabiszewski
