Dear Ms. Sacramone & Ms. Landers;
The above listed property has been found to be in violation of the following State
Codes and/or City Ordinances:
780 CMR, State Building Code, Section 103 requires that any installed system
on a property be maintained in working order. Therefore the currently installed
battery operated smoke alarms must be made to work. Under this section
would be the aspect ofpest and vermin control, which is a direct result of the
current interior conditions. Also required is the maintenance all egress
components within this structure, by this we mean clear and unobstructed, no
egress area can be utilized for storage.
780 CMR, Section 118, makes it illegal to add, alter, or change the use of any
structure without the required permitting. At this time the premises are
considered by this office to be a single family dwelling, and as such the burden
of proof to dispel this would be on the property owner.
Said violations must begin to be corrected, repaired, and/or brought into
compliance within 2 days of your receipt of this notice. Failure to do so may result in
further actions being brought against you, up to and including the f ling of complaints at
District Court.
