AFFIDAVIT
we, the undersigned, husband and wife, EDWARD SONIER and DOROTHY E.
SONIER, do hereby state, aver and depose as follows:
We own, as tenants by the entirety, that property located and commonly
known as 12 Andrew Street, Salem, Essex County, Massachusetts. We have
owned that property continuously since January 17, 1964. We purchased
that property from Josephine G. Donald, wife of John W. Donald by a quit-
claim deed, which deed has been registered with the Essex South District
Registry of Deeds, as Document No. 109322, (a copy of which is attached
hereto and incorporated herein as "Exhibit 1") .
John W. Donald and Josephine G. Donald, both now deceased, originally
purchased that property on January 18, 1958, as evidenced by quitclaim deed
registered with said Registry of Deeds as Document No. 86351 (a copy of
which is attached hereto and incorporated herein as "Exhibit 2") . By
quitclaim deed dated October 5, 1962, registered as Document No. 103040,
with said Registry of Deeds (a copy of which is attached hereto and incor-
porated herein as "Exhibit 3") , the said Joseph G. Donald became the sole
owner of the fee interest in that property. The said John W. Donald and
Josephine G. Donald were the parents of the undersigned, Dorothy E. Sonier.
of our own knowledge, the said John W. Donald and Josephine G. Donald
did purchase, and continuously use thereafter, that property as a two (2)
family residence. Of our own knowledge, we, the undersigned, did also
purchase that property as a two (2) family residence.
We have never been notified of any zoning violations nor are we aware

that any presently exist or have ever existed since our ownership of that
property. ,!
