RE: 41 Almeda St.
Dear Mr. McColgan:
As requested in your letter of September 16, 1986 please be advised
of the following:
1 . The property in question is shown on Assessors Map
as 41 Almeda Street;
2. The Zoning District is Residential Single Family (R-1 )
3. The lot has fifty (50) feet of frontage and contains
eight thousand nine hundred eighty-five (8,985) square
feet of land;
4. The property is located on an undeveloped section of
Almeda Street;
5. Approximately four hundred (400) feet of improved street
plus utilities would have to be brought to the property as
a condition of the issuance of a building permit;
6. In order to qualify as a "grandfathered" lot, proof that the
lot has not been held in common ownership with adjacent lots
would have to be supplied this office prior to the issuance
of a building permit.
I hop this answers your questions.
Sincerely,
William H. Munroe

Re: Land 0£f of Ameda St,
Dear Mr. Monroe:
As per our telephone conversation on 9 16 86 I am requesting information
pertaining to a section of undeveloped land which has been made available
to me.
The section of land in question is in the name of Demetra Bailer. The
land is 8,985 square feet. Zoned residential (01 ) . Map 15. Parcel 0431
Book 29115. Page 123. The street number I do not have . The land is
off of Ameda Street in Salem.
If possible please forward a copy of this section of land as it appears
on your city map, or a hand drawn diagram showing the bordering properties
Ameda St. and the paper street. Also who owns this Paper Street? Would
the Conservation people have to be dealt with? Any information about this
property would be extremely valuable to me . The owner wants to sell this
land to me for the sum of One Thousand Dollars. The tax bill shows that
the land currently has a value of Six Thousand Six Hundred dollars. This
gives you an idea of the decision that I' m faced with. I currently own
just one home and usually I' m in no position to be buying land however
this deal seems to be worth looking into, I think! ! Thank You Very Much
for your time and I look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Thomas M. McColgan
