Observation: • The demolition in general is in progress. • Phase one and Phase two interior partitions and build-ins are removed.Structural columns, and joists are exposed for the design team to review. • The steel stair that is scheduled to be removed is mostly exposed at levels 2,3&4 for investigation of structural detailing and progress. • The existing filled masonry window openings shall be opened up for installation of new windows. • The existing 31d floor skylight in the old meeting room will be removed and the roof will be filled with new joists, insulation and membrane roofing as the entire roof will have new membrane roofing. • Any substitutions will be submitted to the design team for approval. • The contractor proposed eliminating ISOMAX clips and just use resilient channel. This has been approved by the design team maintaining and meets the minimum required STC and fire ratings. • We recommend retaining the double stud detail at doorjambs to be used or a single stud with a F.R. blocking full height within the stud to secure the door frames, resilient channels will be used at both sides behind the G.W.B.
