In accordance with the Public Notification Procedures of the Massachusetts Contingency Plan
(310 CMR 40.0000), Tighe & Bond is notifying you of the submittal of a Revised Tier
Classification to the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (MassDEP) for
the Disposal Site located at McGrath Park (the Site) and tracked under Release Tracking
Numbers (RTNs) 3-30001 and 3-36855.
A copy of the Revised Tier Classification submittal is available for review online at MassDEP's
website. The file can be accessed at the following web address
http://Dublic.dep.state.ma.us/SearchableSites2/Search.aspx, under RTN 3-30001. Pursuant
to 310 CMR 40.1403(6)(a), a public notice of Tier Classification will be published as a legal
notice in the Salem News within seven days. A copy of the legal notice and the disposal site
map are attached. Please note that additional public involvement opportunities are available
pursuant to 310 CMR 40.1403(9) and 40.1404.

NOTICE OF REVISED TIER CLASSIFICATION
MCGRATH PARK

RELEASE TRACKING NUMBER 3-30001
A release of oil and/or hazardous materials has occurred at the above referenced location,
which is a disposal site as defined by M.G.L. c. 21E, § 2 and the Massachusetts Contingency
Plan, 310 CMR 40.0000. To evaluate the release, a Phase I - Initial Site Investigation was
performed pursuant to 310 CMR 40.0480. Based on new information, the Site has been
reclassified as a Tier I Disposal Site pursuant to 310 CMR 40.5000. On May 13, 2022, the
City of Salem filed a Revised Tier Classification Submittal with the Massachusetts Department
of Environmental Protection (MassDEP). To obtain more information on this disposal site,

The Revised Tier Classification Submittal and the disposal site file can be viewed at MassDEP
website using Release Tracking Number (RTN) 3-30001 at
