Dear Sir/Madam,
Since November 2021 an inspector for the Salem Board of Health, Jeffrey
Barosy, has been attempting to schedule a re-inspection with the occupant of 12 Pope
Street Unit B410, Natanyashya Rondon for housing code violations observed during an
September 13, 2021 housing inspection. On the following dates the inspector called the
occupant and left messages on her voicemail requesting to schedule a re-inspection:
November 5, 2021; February 18, 2022; March 11, 2022; and April 20, 2022.
On April 26, 2022 the inspector made direct contact with the occupant by knocking
on her apartment door. At the time the inspector requested he conduct a re-inspection
and the occupant refused. Together they scheduled a re-inspection for April 27, 2022 at
10:00am.
On the day of the agreed upon re-inspection the occupant called the Salem Board of
Health's office and informed the inspector that she was away from her apartment and
wouldn't be available for the re-inspection: The inspector and the occupant rescheduled
for May 2, 2022 for 10:00am.
On the day of the second agreed upon re-inspection the inspector arrived at the
occupant's apartment and knocked on her door multiple times with no response. The
inspector waited in front of the occupant's door until 10:10am before leaving the
property.
The Salem Board of Health hereby declares this case closed due to occupant's lack
of interest in having a re-inspection performed in her apartment to confirm corrections of
housing code violations observed on September 13, 2022.
