exemptions or limitations set forth in the Historic District's Act (M.G.L. Ch. 40C) and the Salem Historic
Districts Ordinance.

• Install 4" dense pack cellulose insulation in walls of rear wood-frame ell only (see attached image of ell on
page 2 of this certificate). NOTE: Contractor to remove clapboards before exterior installation of
insulation; no drilling of exterior siding is allowed. No exterior installation of insulation to be undertaken
through brick walls of building .
Should additional exterior work be required as part of this project, applicant to submit a new application for
review and approval.
Upon completion of above work, please notify Historical Commission staff as final sign-off is required
to document compliance with this Certificate and approved plans.
