Michael Sullivan Members Absent: Catherine Miller, Marc Perras At a regular meeting of the Design Review Board (DRB), upon a motion duly made and seconded, it was unanimously voted to offer a positive review and recommendation for the sign design for the Life Storage facility as designed and presented with the recommendations described herein. Referenced Plans and Documents 1. Application for Permit to Erect a Sign with supporting documents prepared by HW Multiservice Corporation, 5 Norman Street, Everett, MA 02149, dated 8/13119. 2. Staff Comments dated 8/21/19. Review of Sign Design The DRB found that the proposed signage for the new Life Storage facility is appropriate for the building in terms of size, scale, and color palette. The Board is in support of installing 'Sign I' at the height indicated on page 3 of 6 of the sign application package, which exceeds the maximum allowed height as determined by the Salem Sign Ordinance. The Board recommends adjusting the placement of Sign I's circular logo so that it is pulled away from the shadow lines of the faade's composite metal panels. Signature of the DRB By the signature below, I certify that this review accurately reflects the discussions and deliberations of the Design Review Board. Paul Durand ate Chair
