At a regular meeting of the Design Review Board (DRB), upon a motion duly made and
seconded, it was unanimously voted to offer a positive review and recommendation for the sign
design for the Life Storage facility as designed and presented with the recommendations
described herein.

Review of Sign Design
The DRB found that the proposed signage for the new Life Storage facility is appropriate for the
building in terms of size, scale, and color palette. The Board is in support of installing 'Sign I' at
the height indicated on page 3 of 6 of the sign application package, which exceeds the
maximum allowed height as determined by the Salem Sign Ordinance. The Board recommends
adjusting the placement of Sign I's circular logo so that it is pulled away from the shadow lines
of the fa�ade's composite metal panels.
