Ch. 40C) and the Salem Historic Districts Ordinance. District: McIntire District Address of Property: 42 Broad Street Unit 2 Name of Record Owner: Wolfgang Koch Description of Approval of Work: Replace existing first story windows on west elevation in unit 2 with new Harvey Majesty aluminum clad SDL windows to match existing window configurations with the following conditions: ▪ Exterior of windows to be brush painted in white to match existing trim color; ▪ All trim at brick molding to be preserved intact; ▪ Any gaps at muntins to be filled and painted; ▪ Windows to be installed per attached drawing detail. ▪ Replace existing casement window and slider door on first floor of rear elevation per application (work not visible from a public way). NOTE: Previously approved window replacement in this unit has not complied with conditions set forth in Certificate of Appropriateness issued in 2019. All windows, including both previously replaced and new replacements, must be brush painted white to match existing trim color within 6 months of this certificate. If this work is not completed, the project will be deemed in violation and Commission will commence violation proceedings. Upon completion of work, please notify Historical Commission staff as final sign-off is required to document compliance with this Certificate.
