Dear Mr. Allen:
I have reviewed your proposal to change the fence manufacturer from Ameristar Security
Perimeter Fencing's Montage Plus Steel Ornamental Fence to Gemstone Ornamental Aluminum
fencing as depicted in the specification sheets and photographs provided via email on January
25, 2021.
The proposed Gemstone fence is identical in appearance, size, and color with the only real
difference between it and the Ameristar fence being the material, aluminum versus steel. Both
materials are durable and perceived as maintenance free. While the steel fencing is stronger than
the aluminum, the use of the fencing in this application is for decorative purposes, thus the
aluminum fence is acceptable.
All other elements of the plan and the approval shall remain in full force and effect. The fence
shall be black, it shall match the design of the fence directly across Dodge Street to create visual
cohesion, and it shall be installed as depicted on the approved plans.
