In reviewing the proposal, Board members unanimously supported the use of the deeper, crimson red for the Nichiha blade element. The crimson will blend with the Downtown Renewal District aesthetic more successfully than the bright red that is associated with the Wendy's brand. Similar to the use of crimson rather than the bright red for visual cohesion in the District, members found that the use of the bright, brushed aluminum trim on the fascia element is not consistent with surrounding structures.
