Re : Zoning violation-off street parking
Dear Trustees,
The City,including this Department and the Police, have been dealing with ever increasing
problems relating to parking issues caused by your tenants. Your building is approximately
28,000 square feet and per the off street parking regulations would require one space for each
150 square feet of gross square feet except for storage areas. This would mean that you would
need many more parking spaces to accommodate the parking demands for your building. You
clearly have no where near the required spaces. The lack of parking is causing serious strife with
other abutters and is causing access problems for Emergency vehicles. Therefore, I am requiring
you to demonstrate via building plan by condos showing the condo area and the associated
parking for each unit. This drawing needs to be prepared by a registered design Professional and
submitted to this office within 20 days of receipt of this letter. Failure to respond will result in
Zoning tickets and further enforcement actions..
If you feel you are aggrieved by this notice, your Appeal is to the Salem Zoning Board of
Appeals.
