The project includes replacement of four(4)natural gas fired steam boilers and their breeching with four(4)new natural gas fired hot water boilers and breeching. The existing boilers and new boilers are NFPA 211 Category I appliances and have identical heating capacity. As requested, I confirm that to the best of my knowledge and belief the breeching(vent connectors)are of construction,size,layout, and length limitations,and are supported in accordance with the requirements of 248 CMR 4.00:Massachusetts Fuel Gas Code,and 248 CMR 5.00:Massachusetts Amendments to NFPA 54. The new breeching is single wall pipe constructed of 14 gauge corrosion resistant steel with fully welded joints and are equipped with barometric dampers. The new breeching will be insulated following inspection for personnel bum protection.
