178 Federal Street flashing replacement ROOFING PROPOSAL Daniel Gutierrez January 4, 2022 178 Federal St Salem, MA 01970 Dear Daniel, The below quote includes all labor, material, fabrication, equipment, disposal, and insurance costs. As requested, we are quoting you on the following work: Completely Reflash Front Chimney: • Set a roof staging below the chimney to properly reflash the chimney • Remove the existing roof shingles from all four sides of the chimney • Furnish and install ice and water shield to turn up the sides of the chimney and down onto the roof board sheathing • Fabricate and install new copper step flashings to properly flash both sides of the chimney • Shingles that were removed will be re-installed in conjunction with the new step flashings (replacing any torn or ripped shingles with new ones) • A new copper front apron flashing will be installed to the front of the chimney • Remove th e existing lead counter flashings from the chimney and install new 10” lead counter flashing to all four sides • New regulates will be cut into the mortared joints on the chimney to create steps on the sides of the chimney going with the pitch of the roof • All debris will be cleaned up at the end of each day, any metal removed will be recycled at the time of removal Cost to do this work will be TWO THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED SIXTY ($2,460.00) DOLLARS Reflash Base Flashing on the Rear Chimney: • Set a roof staging below the chimney to properly reflash the chimney • Remove the existing roof shingles from all four sides of the chimney • Furnish and install ice and water shield to turn up the sides of the chimney and down onto the roof board sheathing • Fabricate and install new copper step flashings to properly flash both sides of the chimney • Shingles that were removed will be re-installed in conjunction with the new step flashings (replacing any torn or ripped shingles with new ones) • A new copper front apron flashing will be installed to the front of the chimney • Reuse the existing lead counter flashings from the chimney. Existing lead flashing is in good shape. Will recut and re-bend the existing counter flashing • New regulates will be cut into the mortared joints on the chimney to create steps on the sides of the chimney going with the pitch of the roof • All debris will be cleaned up at the end of each day, any metal removed will be recycled at the time of removal Cost to do this work will be ONE THOUSAND NINE HUND RED EIGHTY ($1,980.00) DOLLARS Clean up debris upon completion of the work and furnish workmen’s compensation and public liability insurance to protect the owner in case of an accident while work is in progress.
