Name of Record Owner: James Sullivan
Description of Approval of Work:
1) Replace existing copper half-round gutters on east and west elevations of rear ell with new Duragutter
aluminum gutters to replicate profile of existing cornice trim as closely as possible:
a. Remove first course of roof slate;
b. Retain existing fascia;
c. Install wood “ground” trim under gutter to match existing; and
d. Paint gutters and cornice to match existing trim color
2) Detail of gable returns to be provided to Commission for review and approval prior to construction.
This application is unique in that it is the first Duragutter aluminum gutter application being reviewed by the
Commission and that the Commission has limited experience with which to adequately judge the application. In
this regard, the Commission has determined this application to be a pilot or test case, which may make the
existing guidelines subject to modification, to which future applications may be subject.
Upon completion of work, please notify Historical Commission staff for final review and sign-off of Certificate.
