Special Permit Request:
It is our intention to apply for a special permit to construct an addition of a new garden shed onto an
existing non‐conforming structure on our townhome(s) at 32 Buffum Street, Unit 1 & 2. This addition is
being constructed in order to provide additional outdoor storage for yard equipment, trash and
recycling bins, and to conceal unsightly HVAC heat pump units on the north side of the home. As we
continue to improve the landscape of the property, we have found the need for additional storage to
help maintain the property. We feel that the design respects the historical integrity of the home, and
actually adds value to the neighborhood, by covering up unsightly trash and recycling bins, and the large
wall mounted heat pump units.
