Announcements
• Alternative Therapies Group has been awarded a permit to operate a Medical Marijuana
Dispensary in Salem
• City of Salem is moving to a new complaint reporting system Commonwealth Connect
also known as " See Click , Fix"
Community Outreach
• Discussion was held with the Northshore Family Health Center, to discuss partnerships
and collaborative programs aimed at improving the health of the community.
• Met with Nina Cohen to discuss promotion of walking in Salem
Public Health Highlights
• An Administrative Hearing held with owner of Bani Market, 73 Harbor Street, to discuss
repeat violations of the Food code and strategies to improve food safety at the
establishment.
• The Northshore/Cape Ann Tobacco and Alcohol Policy program conducted compliance
checks and cited 14 establishments for violations of the Board of Health Tobacco
regulation 4 establishments had second violations and one establishment committed their
40' offence.
Meetings and Trainings
• NS REACT to discuss current issues affecting the senior citizens of the north shore.
• HHW negotiation meeting to work on a new contract with the HHW vendor Clean
Harbors.
• The post Haunted Happenings meeting to discuss issues related to Haunted Happenings.
• Larry Ramdin and Suzanne Doty attended EDS101 training that discussed the activation
and operation of an Emergency Dispensing site
• Larry Ramdin attended a n meeting to review the new city evacuation map
