exemptions or limitations set forth in the Historic District's Act (M.G.L. Ch. 40C) and the Salem Historic
Districts Ordinance.

• Repair to chimneys and replace chimney cap with the same cap that was on the chimney. This
includes:
1. Small amount of repointing at top of the chimneys.
2. Replace the cap that was blown off in a windstorm.
There will be no change to the appearance of the chimney just maintenance and repairs.
Non-applicable due to being in-kind repair. There will be no changes in color, material, design, location or
outward appearance.
Upon completion of above work, please notify Historical Commission staff as final sign-off is required to
document compliance with this Certificate and approved plans.
