Description of Work Proposed:
Replace existing tin roofs over bay windows andfront portico with copper roofs. Copper to be painted to match
color of tin.
Note: The Commission encourages Historic New England to consider the use of rubber membrane roofing as
an alternative to tar and gravel should the organization replace roofing on rear (north) elevation. This work
would not be visible from a public way and would therefore not be reviewed under the jurisdiction of the
Commission.
