It is hereby certified that the Salem Historical Commission has determined that the proposed:

Description of Work Proposed:
■ Replace wood gutters on rear elevation of main house with new copper gutters to match approved
gutters on fagade and side elevations;
■ Restore and renovate carriage house per architectural plans prepared by Seger Architects dated
9115116 with the following changes: alter main barn door to allow door to swing open, install glass
sidelights on either side of French doors at second floor loft and extend balcony railing to the sides
of arched opening. Final changes to barn door and loft door are to be presented to Commission for
final approval before work commences. Owner is also allowed the following options: install copper
gutters to match gutters on main house and install wood shutters on carriage house windows to
match original shutters per historic photograph; and
Repaint carriage house to match existing colors.
