Replace existing wooden front stoop in kind and paint base to match existing stoop's color and home's trim color (Benjamin Moore - White Dove) with the following modifications: Existing bottom cement step/base (see pictures) to be removed and replaced with a full slab of granite to extend from front face of first step to home's foundation. New slab will act as base for new stoop to be built and placed on top of slab. New granite base will help prevent future deterioration from moisture (as pictured). All exposed surfaces of granite slab are to be finished in a thermal finish with cushioned edges. (sample pictures - attached). Decking to be replaced with teak which will be allowed to weather to a natural gray. If decking material is not acceptable to Historic Commission, decking can be replaced with fir and painted to match body color of home (Sandy Hook Gray) or as suggested by Historic Commission.
