Replace existing wooden front stoop in kind and paint base to match existing stoop's color and home's trim color
(Benjamin Moore - White Dove) with the following modifications:
Existing bottom cement step/base (see pictures) to be removed and replaced with a full slab of granite to extend
from front face of first step to home's foundation. New slab will act as base for new stoop to be built and
placed on top of slab. New granite base will help prevent future deterioration from moisture (as pictured). All
exposed surfaces of granite slab are to be finished in a thermal finish with cushioned edges. (sample pictures -
attached).
Decking to be replaced with teak which will be allowed to weather to a natural gray. If decking material is not
acceptable to Historic Commission, decking can be replaced with fir and painted to match body color of home
(Sandy Hook Gray) or as suggested by Historic Commission.

Elevation drawings of the existing conditions and proposed improvements
Drawings of details and other special conditions, including profiles
Description,photographs, and/or catalog cuts of proposed materials (please bring to the
meeting product samples, if appropriate)
Dimensions (i.e. height of fence, size of pickets and posts, etc.)
Paint color samples, if applicable (no less than 2"x2")
Location and size of all mechanical equipment, such as transformers, HVAC equipment,

at 13 Cambridge Street, and to consist of
Rebuild Front Steps:
• Remove existing front steps.

The total cost in accordance with the above specifications is:
Total Cost: $1,500.00
$500.00 is to be paid upon signing of proposal and the balance is due upon completion
of work. (Please make checks payable to Michael Naples)
• Scheduling for start of work will be done once signed proposal and deposit are
received.

Note:
• A Certificate of Non Annlicability from the Historic Commission is required
before start of work. The homeowner can acquire it or at an additional cost the
contractor will file for it.
• All repair work will be done to restore the house to its original condition and in
keeping with the requirements of the Salem Historic Commission.
• This proposal does not include any rot or unforeseen damage to the structure that
is not visible. Cost and time to repair or replace damage will be discussed prior to
proceeding with work and will be billed separately.
• All construction debris will be removed and disposed of properly.

Note:
The scope of the work being done on this property is for renovation purposes only and
not to bring the house into compliance with Massachusetts Lead Law Chapter 111.
All work activity and clean up will be in accordance with EPA's Renovation,Repair
and Painting Rules and Regulations.
