Description of Work Proposed
Please type or print clearly. Attach addi6onal sheets, as necessary.
Issue: Our front porch stairs lead directly into a roadway (Botts Court), where cars approach from the blind side
(see photos attached). We have two small children and find this condition to be unsafe.
1-We would like to extend our front porch to include steps going down the other si de away from the street, and 2 -
We 'may' chose to remove the street side steps altogether if we do not like the experience of having steps on both
sides of the front porch.
The work will include adding new steps using the same materials (wood) to match the existing steps on the other
side of the porch. The railing will be removed at the top of the new steps.
If we subsequently choose to remove the existing steps on the street side, we will install the same railing style at
the same spot at the top of the stairs. Once the stairs are removed, we will add appropriate greenery in its place to
complement the home and existing streetscape.
