Prep and paint entire house exterior existing colors (samples attached):
Body/Siding: Benjamin Moore- Sandy Hook Gray HC-108;
Trim: Benjamin Moore - White Dove PM-19;
Shutters, Front Door and Window Sashes: Benjamin Moore- Black;
Repairs to existing wood siding to repair deterioration only. All siding to be restored if possible.
Replacement/repair only where necessary.
Replacement of existing lead flkashings over all windows with new lead flashings.
Original wood window sashes and shutters are To be restored by Olde Bostonian (Dorchester, MA). To be
reinstalled once complete.
Front door to be scraped, rot repaired and painted(black as noted above).
Side of house adjacent to 15 Cambridge Street(not visible from street)will require the replacement of the bottom
4-6 rows of wood clapboard siding(not original)due to rot. New material to match existing clapboards. Finish
paint to match all other elevations as noted above.
Proposal from Michael Naples Carpentry is attached.

Drawings of details and other special conditions, including profiles

Dimensions (i.e. height of fence, size of pickets and posts, etc.)
Paint color samples, if applicable (no less than 2"x2")

I hereby submit cost and specifications for labor and materials for work to be performed
at 13 Cambridge Street, and to consist of:
House Restoration:
3 Sides (street, entry& back)
• Remove existing storm windows and keep for reinstallation.
• Remove existing shutters and keep for re-installation.
• Scrape and apply 1 coat color matched primer on entire body of house and trim.
• Apply 1 topcoat on body and trim of house.
• No window sashes will be painted.
• Repair front entry trim and door.
• Remove and replace trim on windows as required.
• Replace lead flashing above windows as required.
• Repair siding as required.
• Re-caulk all necessary areas to insure weather tightness of structure.
• Scrape,paint and re-install shutters. (homeowner will provide all hard ware for re-
installation)
• Replace plywood in basement window. (where vents come out)
• Scrape and paint 2 basement windows.
a Paint downspouts.
• All paint will be hand brushed. (no rollers)
The total cost in accordance with the above specifications is:
Total Cost: $8,500.00

Payment Schedule:
$2,500.00 Deposit at signing of proposal.
$3,000.00 After body and trim are painted.
$3,000.00 At completion of work.

• Scheduling for start of work will be done once signed proposal and deposit are
received.
Note:
• A Certificate of Non Applicability from the Historic Commission is required
before start of work. The homeowner can acquire it or at an additional cost the
contractor will file for it.
• No work will be done on the back el section.
• All paint and necessary materials are included in estimate.
• Homeowner chooses color and brand of paint. (contractor usually uses Sherwin
Williams Brand)
• Homeowner will be required to contact the Electric Company and have wires
covered before work is started.
• All repair work will be done to restore the house to its original condition and in
keeping with the requirements of the Salem Historic Commission.
• This proposal does not include any rot or unforeseen damage to the structure that
is not visible. Cost and time to repair or replace damage will be discussed prior to
proceeding with work and will be billed separately.
• All construction debris will be removed and dispose f properly.
