Description of Work Proposed
Please type or print clearly.Attach additional sheets, as Necessary.
This is a continuation of the project to return 310 Lafayette St. to a single-family home. In this phase, we are
completing the master bathroom on the second floor. Part of the renovations would be visible to Lafayette St., so
we are requesting permission to do the following:
1. Replacement of the outside door with a window - The master bathroom is located in the front-right corner of the
second floor. This is where the door to the apartment was located. The replacement window will be the same size
as the next closest window and will match the existing design. Please see the attached photos for an example.
2. Removal of outside stairs leading to the second floor-The stairs are on the side of the house and were used as
the main entrance to the upstairs apartment. After converting the door to a window the stairs are no longer needed.
3. Replacement of the 2 front-right windows on the second floor- The existing windows (picture#2) do not seal
due to the settling of the house. The window opening is no longer square and cannot be fixed without complete
replacement. See picture#3 for a sample of the proposed replacement windows.
Leland Hussey is the general contractor performing the work. He also completed the first phase of the project.
