DESCRIPTION OF WORK PROPOSED:
1. New drive and pedestrian gate at existing drive entrance on Cambridge
Street, east side of house. (see Proposed Pedestrian + Drive Gates Elevation).
Solid hardwood construction painted to match existing trim color, BM Navajo
White. Square pickets to pierce solid horizontal rails. Boxed wood posts with
hand turned acorn finial to match existing at front metal handrail. Visible
hardware to be painted.
2. Cut a pedestrian gate into existing board fence at Cambridge street
entrance, Unit 13B. (see Proposed Pedestrian + Drive Gates Elevation). Use
existing wood fence as gate material. No visible hardware, or painted to match
fence color. Gate is necessary to maintain access to Unit #13B while drive gates
are open.
3. New wood deck and stairs to replace existing decks and stairs at rear
entrances. (see Proposed Deck Plan and Elevation) All materials to be wood.
Railing and balustrades to be painted Navajo White to match house trim. Decking
to be ipe with marine oil application.
4. Replace existing brick garden bed edge with granite Belgium block to
match existing garden bed edge in drive area. (See Existing Site Conditions
for photos).

5. Replace existing flat picket fence with proposed alternating square
picket fence character, 3 ½’ high. Pickets to be applied to a horizontal rail.
6. Install 4 ft high board fence gate to enclose area along garage to store
trash and recycling bins.

5. Replace existing flat picket fence with square pickets applied to
horizontal rail. All pickets to be same height and match height of proposed
gates. Picket spacing one inch wider than gate pickets to match open character
of gates. Picket fence connection to be behind gate post.
