The proposed project is to protect and preserve the weather envelope of the library by conducting the ordinary
maintenance of repairing or replacing the exterior wood surrounding the windows of the library that have
deteriorated from age and weather. The work does not involve a change in design, material, color, or outward
appearance of the structure. The CPA awarded the Library a grant for the project in FYI 6.
The project was designed by the Library's architect,Robert Farley, and consists of restoring select Library window
sills, wood window jambs, and wood window trim mouldings to good condition, utilizing repairs or replacements.
Western Red Cedar or Mahogany wood will be used, depending upon availability. When new wood elements are
installed,back priming of all surfaces will be done prior to installation. All exterior mouldings and exterior wood
surfaces will receive new paint finishes: 1 coat of approved primer and 2 coats of approved finish coats of green
color to match the original finish.
