set forth in the Historic District's Act (M.G.L. Ch. 40C) and the Salem Historic Districts Ordinance.

Description of Approval of Work:
o Install solar hot water panels on roof of dormer on south side (facing street) with the following
conditions:
o Panels to be mounted flush with dormer roof at a height of approximately 8”;
o Panels to be located with a 3’ setback from street edge of dormer roof and a 5’ setback
from side edges of dormer roof; and
o Electrical conduit and other equipment for panels to be located in areas not visible from a
public way.
Upon completion of work, please notify Historical Commission staff for final review and sign-off of
Certificate.
