Ch. 40C) and the Salem Historic Districts Ordinance. District: McIntire District Address of Property: 84 Federal Street Name of Record Owner: Kevin Cassidy and Lindsay Hurley Description of Approval of Work: ▪ Replace existing 3tab asphalt roof shingles with Certainteed Highland Slate architectural roof shingles in “Black Granite”. ▪ NOTE: This application is unique in that it is the first Certainteed Highland Slate architectural roof shingle application being reviewed by the Commission and that the Commission has limited experience with which to adequately judge the application. In this regard, the Commission has determined this installation to be a pilot or test case, which may make the existing guidelines subject to modification, to which future applications may be subject. Upon completion of work, please notify Historical Commission staff for final review and sign-off of Certificate.
