Ch. 40C) and the Salem Historic Districts Ordinance. District: McIntire District Address of Property: 53 Summer Street Name of Record Owner: Stacey and Chris Norkun Description of Approval of Work: ▪ Install new white cedar capped solid board fencing around property boundary to replicate historic fence as closely as possible to image shown in attached photograph. ▪ Fencing on Summer Street to match height of existing; ▪ 40’ length of fence on western property boundary adjacent to 55 Summer Street to be 6’ tall; ▪ Fence on High Street to be 6’ tall; ▪ Remainder of fencing to be 5’ tall. ▪ Fence on Summer Street to be painted “Black Bean” to match house trim. Remaining sections of fence to be left unpainted. ▪ All fence hardware to be in black. Upon completion of work, please notify Historical Commission staff for final review and sign-off of Certificate.
