It is hereby certified that the Salem Historical Commission has determined that the proposed:

set forth in the Historic District's Act (M.G.L. Ch. 40C) and the Salem Historic Districts Ordinance.

Description of Approval of Work:
o Replace existing fence sections and gate on west side of house per attached drawing with
following changes: Spacing of 1½” balusters not to exceed 2½”. Balusters to have pyramidal cap
on top.
o Fence to be in red cedar or mahogany.
o Existing fence posts to be retained and restored.
o Fence and posts to be painted to match existing fence color.
Upon completion of work, please notify Historical Commission staff for final review and sign-off of
Certificate.
