It is hereby certified that the Salem Historical Commission has determined that the proposed:

set forth in the Historic District's Act(M.G.L. Ch. 40C) and the Salem Historic Districts Ordinance.

Description of Approval of Work:
Rebuild and enlarge barn based on attached Draft Elevations submitted April 30, 2018 with the following
conditions:
■ Footprint of rebuilt barn to be 17'x 25'with a 18'median height;
■ Foundation to be fieldstone or poured concrete with fieldstone veneer;
• Option#1 with no gable return to be used for West elevation with option for casement window on
second story;
• Clapboards to have 4" reveal;
■ Paint colors to match main house: Clapboards/California Paints "Beauport Aubergine"; trim,
windows and barn doors/C2 "Black Bean"; and side batten door/C2 "Maine
• Roof to be GAF Slateline in "Antique Slate"; and
■ Windows to be Pella Architect Series in wood.
NOTE: Barn door detail and hardware to be determined through a sel2arate aPDlication.
Upon completion of work,please notify Historical Commission staff for finyl review and sign-off of
Certificate.
