It is hereby certified that the Salem Historical Commission has determined that the proposed:

Reconstruction offront porch with the following conditions: balustrade to be raised by 9", including a 3"
gap from floor and a 6" base with molding similar to bandmolding on building quoins; balusters to match
balusters on front of house at#268 Lafayette Street; lattice to be vertical or square pattern, not diagonal;
and porch to be painted to match previously approved trim color. Applicant must submit a dimensional
drawing with materials noted for Commission and/or staff review and approval prior to request for a
building permit.
Upon completion of above work,please notify Historical Commission staff as final sign-off is
required to document compliance with this Certificate.
